APTP+MS'2016

The 10-th International Workshop on Applied Problems in Theory of Probabilities and Mathematical Statistics (APTP+MS’2016) (Autumn Session) related to modeling of information systems is conducted jointly by the Tampere University of Technology, Federal Research Center “Computer Science and Control“ of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. The Workshop will take place on October 18–20 in Lisbon, Portugal.

The APTP+MS’2016 workshop proceedings will be included into the Congress Proceedings and will be submitted to IEEE Xplore, Scopus and Web of Science indexing databases.

Scope

The Workshop aims to discuss contemporary issues of applied probability theory, stochastic processes, mathematical statistics, stochastic analysis, queuing theory in their application to the performance analysis and quality of service of modern communication networks.

Nowadays one can see the wireless solutions have moved beyond their traditional areas of application and today we can talk about a space where users can interact with various technologies services. As a consequence the methods of the applied probability theory and mathematical statistics for the effective estimation of the wireless networks performance parameters have received much attention in recent years and have become a key aspect of application development. Further development in this area creates opportunities for the development of theoretical foundations, new mathematical models and methods for the performance analysis of future wireless networks.

The Workshop is targeted to bring together top specialists in the field to discuss ongoing studies and obtained results. Continuing the great success of the previous events, APTP+MS’2016 Workshop is anticipated to attract high-quality submissions and stimulate the cutting-edge research discussions among academic researchers and scientists all around the world.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

  • Modeling of information systems by methods of the probability theory
  • Modeling of information systems by methods of the theory of stochastic processes
  • Applied queuing theory
  • Discrete probabilistic models
  • Statistical methods for the analysis of information systems
  • Probabilistic models for information security
  • Teletraffic theory
  • Intelligent traffic optimization
  • Multiservice networks and Admission Control
  • Modeling of P2P networks
  • Modeling of wireless D2D networks
  • Modeling IoT and M2M communications
  • Queuing Systems Modeling and Simulation

Proceedings

The authors are encouraged to submit full papers describing original, previously unpublished research results, not currently under review by another conference or journal, addressing state-of-the-art research and development in the area of probability theory and stochastic theory. All submitted papers will be reviewed. Accepted papers will be published in the Workshop Proceedings. Paper submission is done via EDAS. The total length of a paper should not exceed 6 pages. The camera ready manuscript must be formatted in accordance to IEEE single-space, two-column format requirements.

All the accepted and registered papers will be included into the ICUMT 2016 proceedings issued on USB drive, which (containing only presented papers at the conference) will be sent for indexing and abstracting in IEEE Xplore® digital library and for indexing in SCOPUS databases.
