Scope

While the focus of the wireless research community is now at mm-waves in the range of 28–73GHz with throughput of several Gbit/s, the Terahertz band, 0.1–10THz, has sufficient resource not only to satisfy the 5G requirements of 10 Gbit/s peak data rate and 1ms latency, but to enable a number of tempting applications, such as augmented reality, holographic communications, Tactile Internet, high-rate vehicular communications, and Internet-of-Nano-Things. However, THz band brings novel challenges, never addressed at lower frequencies, which require rethinking of many classic communications paradigms, ranging from physical layer and medium access control to the design of networking and session layer solutions.

The workshop on THZCOM aims to bring together researchers, software and hardware developers from academia and industry, working in the THz communications, to present, share and discuss their latest research results. The produced scientific knowledge will lay the foundations for future multigigabit and terabit per second wireless networks in the THz frequency band.

The authors are encouraged to submit full papers (up to 6 pages) describing original, previously unpublished, complete research, not currently under review by another conference or journal. Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following list:
