International Workshop on VR/AR over 5G for Smart City Moscow

The International Workshop on VR/AR over 5G at Smart City Moscow is organized jointly by the Moscow City Government and Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University). The Workshop will take place on November 7, 2018 in Moscow, Russia.


The Workshop aims to discuss the vision of the future Smart City Moscow by 2030. “Smart City Moscow 2030” embarces the interconnected development of all industries of the city and a novel municipal economy. The strategic goal is the formation of an intelligent and innovative city, in which digital technologies are used to improve people’s living standards, efficiency of activities and services, meet the needs of current and future generations of citizens. The basis of the Smart City is in the use of cross-cutting technologies in all areas of municipal economy. These are artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, information security, internet of things (IoT) and 5G and beyond, virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR). The Workshop will cover the topics of 5G and 6G for achieving ultra-high speeds and ultra-low latency, newest services, large number of connected devices and sensors of urban infrastructure as well as VR/AR for additional opportunities in presentation and visibility information.

The workshop will be conducted in a form of a round table with the invitation of leading experts from academic organizations and from industry.

A brochure with abstracts of presentations and other related materials will be published.

Call for Speakers

Prospective speakers are invited to submit extended abstracts of presentations. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by at least by two members of the TPC.
