The 14th International Workshop on Applied Problems in Theory of Probabilities and Mathematical Statistics (APTP+MS’2020) (Autumn Session) related to modeling of information systems is conducted jointly by the Federal Research Center “Computer Science and Control“ of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), and Tampere University. The Workshop will be held as online event on October 5 - 7, 2020. The APTP+MS’2020 workshop proceedings will be included into the ICUMT 2020 proceedings and will be submitted to Scopus and Web of Science indexing databases.

Scope
The Workshop aims to discuss contemporary issues of applied probability theory, stochastic processes, mathematical statistics, stochastic analysis, queuing theory in their application to the performance analysis and quality of service of modern communication networks. Nowadays one can see the wireless solutions have moved beyond their traditional areas of application and today we can talk about a space where users can interact with various technologies services. As a consequence the methods of the applied probability theory and mathematical statistics for the effective estimation of the wireless networks performance parameters have received much attention in recent years and have become a key aspect of application development. Further development in this area creates opportunities for the development of theoretical foundations, new mathematical models and methods for the performance analysis of future wireless networks. The Workshop is targeted to bring together top specialists in the field to discuss ongoing studies and obtained results. Continuing the great success of the previous events, APTP+MS’2020 workshop is anticipated to attract high-quality submissions and stimulate the cutting-edge research discussions among academic researchers and scientists all around the world.

Call for Papers
Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length original and previously unpublished papers. Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed by at last two members of the Scientific Programme Committee. The congress organizers reserves the right to not include a paper to the Proceedings if the congress registration fee is not paid or if the paper is not presented on the ICUMT 2020 congress.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

  • Modeling of information systems by methods of the probability theory
  • Modeling of information systems by methods of the theory of stochastic processes
  • Applied queuing theory
  • Discrete probabilistic models
  • Statistical methods for the analysis of information systems
  • Probabilistic models for information security
  • Teletraffic theory
  • Intelligent traffic optimization
  • Multiservice networks and Admission Control
  • Modeling of P2P networks
  • Modeling of wireless D2D networks
  • Modeling IoT and M2M communications
  • Queuing Systems Modeling and Simulation
  • Integrated optical waveguides with statistically irregular boundaries for the needs of optical communications

Submission Instructions
Authors should prepare a PDF file following the IEEE single-space, two-column format using at least 10-point size type. The paper must be correctly formatted to fit on A4. The paper should not exceed 6 pages including figures, tables & references. Maximum 4 additional pages are allowed. Additional pages will be overcharged. The papers cannot exceed 10 pages, otherwise they will be automatically rejected. The cost of overcharge per page is indicated in the Registration Fees. The paper must be submitted in PDF format via the EDAS System. The list of authors in the submitted manuscript should correspond to the list of the authors in EDAS. The APTP+MS’2020 workshop proceedings will be included into the ICUMT proceedings and will be together submitted for indexing in IEEE, Scopus and Web of Science databases.
